Tasmanian school children will have their favourite Hawks stars visit their classrooms in February as part of the 2013 Australia Post AFL Community Camp.

For the eleventh consecutive year, the majority of Hawthorn’s playing group will travel to Tasmania for the Camp where they will be spread across four locations; the two main groups will be based in Hobart and Launceston and two smaller groups will hit the East and West coasts.

For the first time, the camp coincides with the school term and Hawks players will visit students in schools across the state, taking part in their daily activities. The players will also get involved in activities planned with local community and charity organisations, including The Cancer Council, The Leukaemia Foundation, St Vincent de Paul, Able Australia, The Beacon Foundation and many more.

Hawks players will also visit areas affected by the Tasmanian bushfires and will lend a hand to help communities rebuild.
