One of the more unheralded four-time premiership players in history, but so critical to the way the Hawks like to play. His run off half-back, his switching of the play and his straight and true left-foot kicking remains a key element to Hawthorn’s game-plan. Missed some games mid-season because of an ankle injury, but was an excellent contributor through to the Grand Final where he kicked a key first-quarter goal. Along with Rodney Eade, he is the second greatest Tasmanian to play for the Hawks behind Peter Hudson.
