Brownlow Votes: -Savage was dropped on the eve of Hawthorn’s 2012 finals campaign, but earned a recall as Jordan Lewis’ late replacement to face Collingwood in the qualifying final. He made the most of that chance and held his spot, starting all three finals as the substitute. The talented wing/half-forward played 21 senior games for the year, averaging 11.3 disposals and 2.8 tackles a game and booting 10 goals. With his pace and ability to carry the football, Savage should become an increasingly important member of the Hawthorn line-up as he passes 50 AFL games.
