Whitecross did well in 2011 as a small forward and occasional run-with player. He has taken some time but after four years in the system he has finally establish himself as a regular senior player for the Hawks. Played an important role on Adam Goodes in the semi-final just as the Sydney Swans superstar was threatening to cut loose. As he matures he makes fewer disposal errors and shows a genuine thirst for the contest.

Draft history: 2007 NAB AFL Draft 2nd round selection (Hawthorn) No. 29 overall.
