Tough and durable, Guerra enjoyed another consistent season as a key member of the back six. He led the Hawks in rebounds from 50, was second for long kicks and short kicks and third for handballs received. He continued to be the preferred set-up man after a kick-out and is something of a barometer for the side. When he plays well, so too do the Hawks.

Draft history: 1999 National AFL Draft 2nd round selection (Port Adelaide) No. 28 overall traded by the Western Bulldogs for Nathan Eagleton; 2003 NAB AFL Draft traded by Port Adelaide for No. 39 (Robert Forster-Knight); 2006 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft 1st round selection (Hawthorn) No. 3 overall.
