The left-footed genius continued his ascent to greatness, finishing runner-up in the best and fairest in just his second season. Lit up stadiums, particularly in the first 10 rounds, when he was easily his side’s best player. A hamstring injury in round 11 cost him three matches, but the forward/midfielder was soon back into stride. His work rate was phenomenal, laying at least eight tackles on four occasions. Won the Goal of the Year award with a typically breathtaking somethingfrom-nothing effort.
