Continues to battle injury but when he's up and about he is possibly the most exciting player in the competition.  Had an up-and-down season in 2011: personal-best hauls of five goals against Fremantle and then six against Port Adelaide were balanced against two hamstring injuries and a sub-par qualifying final outing against Geelong. Rioli rectified that with electric performances in the remaining two finals. If fitness allows, he will see more time in the midfield in 2012, but his value to the forward line, where he led the Hawks with 29 goal assists, remains high.
