A brilliant 2010 season saw Hodge land his second club best and fairest in a canter and his third All-Australian selection. He was named All-Australian captain and in 2011 will lead the Hawks after an amiable handover from Sam Mitchell. Hodge led the Hawks in kicks, tackles, inside 50s and hard-ball gets, while his pack marking, ability to control the ball and kick goals at critical stages helped the Hawks recover from their 1-6 start to make the finals.

Draft history: 2001 National AFL Draft priority selection (Hawthorn) No. 1 overall traded by Fremantle for Trent Croad and Luke McPharlin.
