The teenage midfielder was a surprise packet after being a late, bottom-age pick in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft. Despite missing much of the season while rehabilitating after a shoulder reconstruction, he was named an emergency for the crucial round 19 clash with minor premier St Kilda before playing the last three games, during which he averaged 14 disposals. Smart and quick, with good evasive skills, it’s little wonder the Hawks regard him as a long-term prospect.
