The home of the Hawks

The Hawthorn Football Club moved into Waverley Park  Thursday 16 February, 2006.

The bays of the heritage-listed Sir Kenneth Luke stand remain at the ground that hosted 732 AFL matches between 1970-99, including the Hawks’ 1991 Premiership match against West Coast.

The refurbished three-level, eight-bay stand, accommodates Hawthorn’s training, administration and merchandise facilities.

A 25m heated pool has been built for general lap swimming, shallow water walking and rehabilitation.

The Hawks were the first AFL team in six years to run onto Waverley Park oval on Friday 17 February when the Club held an intra-squad practice match as they prepared for the 2006 season.
