Hawthorn has selected Jai Serong with Pick 53 in the 2021 NAB AFL National Draft.

The club’s fourth selection at the draft, Hawthorn called out Serong's name to join Josh Ward (Pick 7), Sam Butler (Pick 23) and Connor MacDonald (Pick 26).

A skinny tall with plenty of upside, Serong’s strengths are his leaps and overhead marking, along with his clean hands at ground level.

Having played in most positions this year, he has also shown his versatility in each third of the ground.

Serong is the brother of Fremantle rising star Caleb Serong and shows promising signs he could also become a dynamic player for the future.
