Hawthorn defender Jarman Impey is in contention to face St Kilda on Sunday after being named in the side's extended squad.

The 26-year-old made a promising return through the VFL last week, but has not played a senior game since Round 14 last year after suffering an ankle injury.

Jack Scrimshaw has also been included in the squad after scans cleared him of any serious injury to his scapula.

Harry Morrison, Daniel Howe, Emerson Jeka, Tom Phillips, Jacob Koschitzke and Finn Maginness have also been named as a part of the extended bench.

After making his long-awaited return on Sunday, young gun Will Day features in the starting line-up of Coach Sam Mitchell's team.

Chad Wingard is the sole confirmed out due to having experienced some calf tightness following last week's game.

Hawthorn is set to take on St Kilda at the MCG on Sunday, marking the first meeting at the venue between the two clubs since 2014.

The Round 4 team will be announced on Friday at 5pm.
