Luke Breust’s six-goal masterclass performance against West Coast has landed him Hawthorn's Round 18 MPV.

For the fourth time in his impressive career, the 31-year-old recorded an equal career-high bag of six in his side's 25-point win against the Eagles on Sunday.

It is the most goals a Hawks player has kicked in a single game this season, and the first time Breust has kicked that many goals in the one game since 2018.

Breust, who was pivotal in the victory, had kicked four goals and recorded nine disposals by the half time break.

He also ended the match with 11 score involvements and a team-high five inside 50s.

Having finished as Hawthorn's leading goal-kicker last year, Breust has now kicked 34 goals for the season - just two behind this year's current leader in Mitch Lewis.

2022 now marks the 11th season where he has kicked 30 or more goals.
