Speaking on the eve of his impressive milestone, Hawthorn Captain Ben McEvoy says he feels privileged to have reached 250 AFL games.

The 33-year-old will suit up for the special occasion when the Hawks take on Gold Coast this Saturday at UTAS Stadium.

“I’m still pinching myself a little bit,” McEvoy said.

“It’s an enormous privilege to have played 250 AFL games, not many people get to do it.

"I haven't taken anything for granted - every game is amazing and every time we get to sing that song together is really special."
