Schoenmakers hoping to kick 'frustrating' injury

Ryan Schoenmakers on injury Ryan spoke with HawksTV about his ongoing injury and we find out more about what is keeping the number 25 off the field.

HAWTHORN forward Ryan Schoenmakers is hoping he can get over his frustrating groin injury and return to the field soon.

Schoenmakers has played just four games in 2016 - three at AFL level and one at VFL level - as he's battled a "grumbly groin", in the words of coach Alastair Clarkson.

"It's a bit disappointing I suppose, it's a little bit frustrating," Schoenmakers told HawksTV this week.

"It's a bit up and down really - one week it feels good and I get through a bit of training, but then the next week it pulls up a bit sore and I'm unable to do as much as I'd like."
