Small forward Paul Puopolo looks set to return to the senior side this weekend for the Hawks’ clash with the Lions

Puopolo has missed the last four matches with a hamstring injury but appears to be back to full fitness, while mature-age recruit David Mirra is also in the selection mix for this week.

Playing as a key defender the 27-year-old was Box Hill’s best in the side’s loss to Casey on Sunday, collecting 22 disposals and taking eight marks as he provided plenty of rebound and intercept from the back half.

Midfielder James Cousins was also an important contributor at VFL level with 22 disposals and eight tackles, setting up multiple goals and is ready to return to the AFL side should he be called upon.

Premiership tall Ryan Schoenmakers was named as an emergency against the Swans and could make the trip north, while fellow key forward Mitchell Lewis also continues to press his case this season.

Lewis kicked three final-quarter goals to finish with four for the day as he presented well and marked strongly.
