The Hawks have selected Mathew Walker with the club’s second selection in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft.

Hailing from NSW, the 187cm forward is strong overhead and boasts quality skills on both sides of his body.

Playing with the Murray Bushrangers in 2018, Walker managed 10 TAC Cup appearances, averaging 14 disposals, five marks and 1.3 goals a game.

With his strong body and hunger for the contest, Walker appears ready-made for senior football.

In a bid to secure Walker, the Hawks engaged in a live pick trade with the Magpies to move up to Pick 63.

Stay tuned for more draft news to come.
