The ripple effect of premiership success so often comes in the form of individual achievement.

This notion has been apparent recently for Box Hill as the aftermath of its grand final win saw two of its listed players enter AFL systems within six months of climbing the VFL mountain.

Hawthorn swooped on ruckman Ned Reeves last week as it looked to boost its big man stocks, while the Gold Coast added Sam Fletcher to its list after he had been training with the VFL side throughout the summer.

The pair follow a long line of Box Hill players recruited to the elite level, including Hawthorn champion Sam Mitchell and former Hawk Ben McGlynn.

The club would like to congratulate Ned and Sam on their outstanding achievement and wish them luck on their AFL journeys.
