Bupa recovery report: R8

Bupa Recovery Report: R8 Check out another good looking injury list as the Hawks prepare to take on the Tigers at the 'G' this Sunday.

Jack Scrimshaw has been cleared of injury, after the Hawks confirmed the young defender left the ground with a migraine during Sunday’s match.

According to Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd, Scrimshaw was experiencing some blurred vision, thus the Hawks’ medicos opted to take a cautious approach.

“Jack had a nasty migraine in the game which actually started to affect his vision,” Boyd said.

“We obviously tried to see if it will settle and he ended up not being good enough to play, so we decided to leave him off for the last quarter."

Meanwhile, Tom Mitchell has undergone a scheduled surgery as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.

“Tommy’s going well, it’s been a long road for him obviously,” Boyd said.

“He’s just recently had the metal work, so the plates and screws, taken out of his leg.

“From here, the plan is that he’ll have a couple of light weeks to recover from the surgery and then will look to build back his running volumes from there.”

Isaac Smith (foot) and Chad Wingard (hamstring soreness) will have to prove their fitness before being declared available for Sunday's clash with Richmond.

Hawthorn's injury list:

Chad Wingard – hamstring soreness – test

Jack Scrimshaw – migraine – test

Isaac Smith – foot – test

Grant Birchall – calf – indefinite

Tom Mitchell – leg – season

Tim Mohr – knee - season
