Who would you like to see the Hawks take on in Round 2?

Well, if you believe in history repeating itself, then it is slim pickings.

There are only four clubs which Hawthorn hold a winning record against throughout its 95 Round 2 outings.

The circus act that led to Clarko's Hawks appointment

West Coast, North Melbourne, Sydney and Melbourne are the only four clubs the Hawks boast more wins than losses against in Round 2 match-ups.

Hawthorn's greatest second round victory came in its premiership year of 1991, when Allan Joyce's side walloped the Swans to the tune of 91 points, helped along by a bag of nine goals for Jason Dunstall.

While at the other end of the spectrum, the Hawks have suffered three 100-plus-point defeats in Round 2 games.

The worst of these drubbings came in 1969 when the Hawks backed up a 22-point win over Collingwood in the season opener with a 128-point loss to Carlton.
