Chad Wingard's impressive campaign has been recognised with the Hawks faithful voting him in as the Fans' MVP of 2020, presented by United Petroleum.

Taking third place in the Peter Crimmins Medal count on Wednesday night, Wingard earned the greatest number of cumulative MVP votes across the season.

Runner up in the best and fairest, Tom Mitchell also finished in second place on the fans' vote.

Third and fourth place was a story of two opposite ends of the age spectrum with 37-year-old Shaun Burgoyne and 19-year-old Will Day finishing third and fourth respectively, while Peter Crimmins Medallist Jack Gunston rounded out the top five.

Gunston crowned 2020 Peter Crimmins Medallist

In his second season in the brown and gold, Wingard hit his straps this year, averaging 14.8 possessions, 3.6 tackles, 3.2 inside 50s and over a goal per game.

The 27-year-old was one of just two players, the other being Tom Mitchell, to feature in all 17 of the Hawks games this year.

Wingard's opening month of the season was especially outstanding, averaging 17.5 disposals and 2.3 goals per game over the first four games.

We congratulate Aidyn from South Australia who has won a 2020 signed guernsey for voting in this year's United MVP series.
