The VFLW Hawks are excited to welcome three more players to the brown and gold when they take on North Melbourne on Sunday.

Chantelle Perera has returned home to the Hawks after playing with the West Coast Eagles in the 2021 AFLW season. Perera is a premiership player with the Hawks from 2018 and the side will be buoyed to see her experience in the forward line as they push towards the final rounds of the season.

Joining the team for the first time are Keeley Sherar and Bridget Deed, both from the Eastern Ranges. They’re highly talented young players who are expected to be well in the mix for the AFLW draft.

Eloise Chaston and Matilda Hardy are also back in the side after several weeks out.

Maddi Shaw and Chloe O’Malley will sit on the sidelines this week, as will Nadia von Bertouch (managed), Ashanti Bush (managed) and Chloe Bain (concussion).

This week’s match against North Melbourne is set to be a nail-biter, as both sides have their sights set on a spot in the top six. North Melbourne are currently sitting one place below the Hawks on the ladder.

Hawthorn take on North Melbourne under lights at 3:30pm at Box Hill City Oval on Sunday, commencing after the VFL match.
