Our home 

Located at Bunjil Bagora, Waverley Park, Hawthorn’s state-of-the-art facility is not only the home of the club’s elite footballers but also its dedicated and experienced administration staff.

Our driven teams include specialists in finance, membership, commercial operations, digital media and community.

In the coming years, Hawthorn will be based at the transformational Kennedy Community Centre, providing players and staff with one of the leading high-performance sports facilities in the country, whilst including community-accessible spaces.

The Hawks also have an office in Launceston which houses a driven team that runs the operations and corporate sales for the area.

Box Hill - Events & Marketing Coordinator 

About us
The Box Hill Hawks are seeking to appoint a highly driven, passionate and motivated individual that will be responsible for assisting with the planning, administration and deliver of Club functions and events.
This position presents a unique opportunity to work for a club with a strong track record in the VFL, and that are  respected members of both the Victorian and Australian Football Leagues. 

Box Hill Hawks are the proud VFL affiliate of the Hawthorn Football Club. 

This affiliation is strong and has a clear vision of the future – to create an environment steeped in excellence and opportunities to ensure that the Club that is successful, sustainable, socially inclusive, and equally focused on both men’s and women’s programs. 


About the role
Reporting to the Box Hill General Manager, this is a permanent part time (4 days per week) opportunity that will include:

  • Contributing to the planning and delivery of a calendar of events in line with Club strategy
  • Coordinate effective administration of allocated events including producing documentation, logistics/run schedules concepts and delivering event requirements
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to coordinate collateral / event material
  • Coordinate and allocate staff, volunteers, and suppliers to assist with delivering assigned events
  • Event reporting – ensuring objectives are met
  • Coordination of all guests including managing guest lists, invitations, bookings, ticketing and all event related communications
  • Ensure that budget is adhered to and management is kept up to date with overall budget expenditure
  • Assist with Salesforce through product creation, bulk uploads, and maintenance
  • Assist with the management and regular update of the Box Hill Hawks website
  • Coordinate Box Hill Hawks weekly member communications
  • Working with digital content and communications intern, develop and deliver the clubs Marketing Strategy 

 

The ideal candidate 
You will have demonstrated professional experience backed by a tertiary qualification in events, hospitality or business related.

Experience with a CRM, in particular, Salesforce is highly desirable, however, not essential.

You are an excellent communicator, you can quickly build rapport, engage with diverse groups, and build effective relationships both within the community, and within business.
You will have strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage expectations, high level of attention to detail and able to multi-task and deliver to timelines.

Please note that weekend work is required for events during the season.

This role will be based at Box Hill City Oval.  We support flexible working arrangements, whether it be form home, from Waverly Park (HFC HQ), or another suitable environment.
