Finally, after a long hiatus, Hawthorn is thrilled to be able to welcome its members and fans back to Waverley Park.

The club will hold a series of exciting and free fan events throughout February and March as part of the inaugural Festival of Footy, presented by AIA.

Come along and watch the boys train at our opening training on Saturday 5 February from 9.30am at Bunjil Bagora, Waverley Park.

Enjoy kids' activities and crowd giveaways, along with access to Hawthorn’s services, including membership, merchandise, and the museum on the day.

On Friday 25 February our regional pre-season practice match will take place against Collingwood at 3.30pm at Morwell Recreation Reserve, Morwell.

On Saturday 19 March our season launch and captain's run will be held from 9.30am at Bunjil Bagora, Waverley Park.

Join us for the final training session ahead of our Round 1 match and hear from our new Senior Coach Sam Mitchell. 

Then, witness the infamous guernsey presentation, and enjoy the kids' entertainment and crowd giveaways.

The outdoor events will follow COVID-safe protocols including requiring attendees to check in on arrival and maintain social distancing.

In observance with safety requirements, unfortunately there will be no photo or autograph opportunities with the players at these events due to distancing protocols.

COVID-19 Guidelines 

It is important we follow the below guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone involved during the events.

Each attendee is asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine. 
Stay at home if you are unwell, or identify yourself as a contact of someone who has been unwell and who is being tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. 
If you are unwell during the event please tell one of the event staff. 
Attendees must maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between those from other groups at all times whilst at the event
