Jack Gunston has earned his second MVP honour in three weeks after a scintillating five-goal performance in the Hawks win over the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Gunston finished with five goals in the seven-point victory, just as he did in the Hawks Round 19 win over North Melbourne a fortnight earlier.

The potent forward looked a threat all day, with his aerial prowess apparent to all as he finished with eight marks - five of which were inside 50.

Gunston registered a game-high nine score involvements while his 85.7 per cent disposal efficiency was bettered by only teammate James Sicily on the day.

Just as it has all year, Gunston's leadership proved vital for a young Hawks side which endured a few nervous moments in the fourth quarter.
