Hawthorn leader Louise Stephenson is a chance to make her return from an ankle injury before the season ends.

The 27-year-old has been sidelined with the injury since Round 2 but was in line to make her return for Hawthorn’s clash with Brisbane last week.

Although Stephenson suffered a minor setback in the lead-up to that game, Hawks AFLW High Performance Manager Olivia Knowles said she could make the trip to Perth on Saturday night to face Fremantle.

“Unfortunately, Lou was unable to complete full training last week, but she will be given another test opportunity this week,” Knowles said.

“We are hopeful she will be ready to go for our final game of the year.”

Hawthorn will complete its inaugural AFLW season away against Fremantle on Saturday night, with the game commencing at 7.10pm AEDT (4.10pm local time).
