Hawthorn AFL Wheelchair star Yassin Hill and AFL Blind gun Steve Obeid have won the VWFL League Best and Fairest and VBFL League Best and Fairest awards, respectively.
The award caps off a remarkable season for Hill, who also took home the Hawks' VWFL best and fairest and leading goalscorer awards alongside a best-on-ground performance in his team's first-ever premiership.
David Ralph took out Hawthorn's CWFL best and fairest award after his team made their first-ever finals campaign.
Hill was also selected in the VWFL Team of the Year alongside Finn Broadbent and Hayden Auber as well as the Vic Metro team for the 2023 Wheelchair AFL National Championships alongside Captain Jo Argaet.
"I'm very grateful to be given the award, it's been a fantastic season," Hill said after receiving VWFL league best and fairest honours.
"I can't thank everyone at the footy club and the AFL enough for an unbelievable season.
"It's been one to remember not only for myself but my team as well."
Hil and Argaet will go up against Hawthorn teammates Broadbent and Mitch Bond in the championships, which begin on Thursday in Melbourne.
Obeid's VBFL season was also one to remember, backing up his Hawks VBFL best and fairest nod and premiership with Hawthorn Brown.
He was also named in the AFL Blind Victorian team alongside Travis Zimmer, Ned Brewer Maiga, David Gauci, Ollie Oglethorpe and Cebby Johnson.
"I've been able to show who I am and produce the skills that my teammates allow me to produce," Obeid said when speaking about his season.
"It's an incredible achievement and I'm very grateful."
Taking home the Hawks' VBFL best and fairest for Hawks Gold was star player Brewer Maiga.
The VBFL Allies team also included a number of Hawthorn stars in Reuben Fairbank, Stephen Palmer, Oscar Stubbs, Sean Brown and Nathan Luke.
