Hawthorn has smashed through its membership record for the second consecutive year, with 83,901 loyal members already forming the core of the club’s brown and gold family.
The achievement comes at an exciting time of the year, with Hawthorn’s AFL side sitting in the top four after 10 rounds, while the Hawks AFLW team has officially commenced pre-season training for the 2025 season.
The brown and gold faithful have signed up at a record pace this year, with the club reaching the significant milestone five months into 2025.
The record-breaking tally is supported by strong attendances at the MCG this year, with a record number of fans turning out for each of Hawthorn’s five home and away games to date, highlighted by the 80,735 turning out for the club’s home match in Round 1 against Essendon.
The momentum has also been felt in Tasmania, with a near sell-out crowd turning out for the club’s first fixture at UTAS Stadium in Round 4 against GWS. Some big remaining games against Adelaide, North Melbourne and Port Adelaide are still to come on the Apple Isle.
Hawthorn CEO Ash Klein thanked all 83,901 members for their support.
“Breaking our all-time membership record is a significant milestone for our football club,” Klein said.
“From Tasmania to Victoria and all around the country, we thank all 83,901 members for their loyalty and support of the brown and gold.
“Our members play an incredibly important role in our success on and off the field, and we are delighted to share this special occasion with them.
“We look forward to seeing our members continue to pack out the stands for both our AFL and AFLW teams for the rest of the year.”
For those who are yet to join the brown and gold family, it’s not too late!
Along with the aforementioned games at UTAS Stadium, there are blockbuster matches to come against Carlton, Collingwood and Melbourne at the MCG, as well as a full AFLW season to look forward to.
