Breed was drafted to Hawthorn with Pick 4 in the AFLW Season Eight supplementary draft. The 22-year-old suited up for eight games in 2023 and played as a true utility, starting the year up forward before stints in defence and in the ruck. She arrived at the Hawks from North Adelaide in the SANFLW, where she averaged 14.3 disposals to go with six goals. As a Darwin Buffaloes junior, Breed won the NTFL under 18 competition’s Best and Fairest awards in the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons as well as the league’s Women’s Rising Star honour in 2018/19.
