Hawthorn Football Club has broken its all-time Tasmanian membership record with 9370 Tasmanians signing on in 2017.

President Richard Garvey thanked Tasmanian supporters for their ongoing dedication and commitment.

“Our club is incredibly grateful for the loyalty and support of the Hawthorn family in Tasmania,” Garvey said.

“We are in the 17th year of a truly fabulous partnership with the state of Tasmania and are extremely proud of the connection we have formed with the people of Tassie, in particular Launceston.”

“Our members and fans turned out in force for our Round 6 match against St Kilda and I urge them all to do the same again as we take on the Lions this weekend.”

“Launceston has truly become our second home and we love having the entire city behind us.”

“I would like to sincerely thank every Tasmanian who has signed on in 2017 as without our committed army of Tassie members achievements like this wouldn’t be possible.”
