Friday night's clash against Essendon means more than on-field pride. It is also about what happens off the field.

The chance of men developing cancer something everyone should all be talking about, so Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston is raising awarness and wants his voice to be heard.

This weekend’s match against Essendon is the ‘Clash for Cancer’ match, and the Hawks are getting behind Jack and Cancer Council Victoria.

One in two men will develop cancer by the age of 85, a concerning statistic.

So, Gunston and Hawthorn Football Club are raising money for Cancer Council Victoria this week to help support the good work being done in attempting to reduce the number of men diagnosed with cancer

“It’s a scary statistic than one in two blokes will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85,” he said.

“That’s one in two teammates, one in two male coaching staff and one in two male footy fans.”

Support a cause the players care about and help us raise money for Cancer Council to reduce the impact of cancer in men.
