The players were out the track early on Wednesday morning for another pre-season training session but luckily wrapped up before Melbourne's heat set in.

In a session that last almost two hours, the first-to-fourth year players were joined by some familiar faces, with Brian Lake, Isaac Smith and Jonathan Simpkin joining in ahead of schedule.

The players completed a number of skills drills using different areas of the ground focusing on kicking and touch.

The coaches also had in store for them some more unique drills, including hackey sack.
