A MRP case involving Hawthorn Captain Luke Hodge has been referred directly to the Tribunal for striking Andrew Swallow during the first quarter of Hawthorn’s Saturday night match against North Melbourne.
 
The match review panel has classified the incident as intentional conduct with high impact to the head. Hodge has no applicable bad record and cannot accept an early plea.
 
Vice-captain Jordan Lewis can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea after an incident involving Kangaroos ruckman Todd Goldstein was classified by the MRP as careless conduct with high impact to the head.
 
Contact between Hawthorn’s Taylor Duryea and North Melbourne’s Andrew Swallow from the first quarter of Saturday’s match was also assessed and no  further action was taken.
