JARRYD Roughead has scored a perfect 10 from the coaches in Hawthorn’s 38-point win over Essendon on Saturday.

Roughead’s 29 disposals, seven clearances and a goal earned him best-on-ground honours as the Hawks kicked 11 goals after half time to secure their eighth win of the season.

Alastair Clarkson and James Hird voted Sam Mitchell next best with six votes.

Mitchell was dominant through the midfield, leading the Hawks for disposals with 32, while also gathering five clearances and three inside 50s.

He now sits within the top 10 for the AFLCA’s Player of the Year Award.

Both Taylor Duryea and Jack Gunston were handed four votes, with Duryea taking a game-high 11 marks from defence, as Gunston slotted three goals at the other end.

Josh Gibson was critical in a defensive unit that lost James Frawley to injury in the second term, matching Duryea’s 11 marks and collecting 22 disposals.
