JACK Gunston has been voted the Hawks’ best by the coaches in the 138-point win over Carlton on Friday night.
 
Gunston was awarded a perfect 10 votes after finishing with 27 disposals, 12 marks and a career-high six goals.
 
Alastair Clarkson and John Barker handed Jordan Lewis eight votes after a prolific performance through the midfield, where he gathered 36 disposals and kicked two goals.

Skipper Luke Hodge also found plenty of the ball through the middle, collecting 32 disposals and a goal, which earned him four votes.
 
Three goals to Luke Breust brought his tally for the season to 39, as he leads the Hawks’ in the Coleman Medal race, and along with a team-high four goal assists was awarded three votes for his efforts against the Blues.
 
Speedster Billy Hartung impressed with 24 disposals, five inside-50s and a goal – which earned him three votes – as the Hawks were able to find 12 individual goal kickers in an impressive team performance.
 
Twenty-seven disposals out of defence to veteran Josh Gibson (two) saw him also included in the votes, as he led a miserly performance by the Hawks’ back six as they restricted the Blues to four goals.
