YOUNG Hawks fan Alexander had just one wish – to meet the Hawks.

He got to do just that – and more – during Round 7 this year with a little help from his favourite player, Jack Gunston.

Alexander – who has a rare genetic disability known as Joubert syndrome, a kidney disease and a degenerative visual condition – has spent a lot of time in hospital over the years.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience, to be a Hawk for a day, was granted through the Starlight Wish Program.

It was a welcome opportunity for Alexander to enjoy something very special with his family.

When Alexander stepped off the plane from Hobart, he was quite shy but eagerly awaiting to hear what the trip had in store.
