LUKE Hodge has received a nomination for the Round 20 Goal of the Year.

The Hawthorn skipper was nominated after he threaded the needle in the first quarter with a drop punt off his left boot from a tight angle in the left forward pocket.

It was one of three goals Hodge kicked for the quarter, and one of four for the match.
