HAWTHORN will honour the passing of Cooper Ratten before the bounce of the Round 23 match against Carlton on Saturday.

The Hawks and the Blues will run through a joint banner.

A guard of honour will be comprised of children of both past greats and current coaches of Carlton and Hawthorn, as the players enter onto the MCG.

Both sides will also wear black armbands in recognition of the Ratten family’s tragic loss.

The son of Hawthorn Assistant Coach Brett Ratten, Cooper, passed away in tragic circumstances on 16 August.

All at the Hawthorn Football Club will continue to extend their support and thoughts to Brett and the Ratten family.
