ON the back of a career-best season, Hawthorn star Cyril Rioli has re-signed with the club for another two years.

The contract extension will see Rioli remain a Hawk until the end of 2019.

A four-time premiership Hawk, Rioli was already contracted until the end of 2017.

But the 26-year-old has reinforced his desire to be #HawthornAlways - and his new deal will take him to a dozen seasons in the brown and gold.

The prodigious midfielder-forward has played 157 games for the Hawks since being recruited with pick 12 in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft.

He played 24 of a possible 26 games in 2015, averaging 15.3 disposals per match and kicking a career-best haul of 42 goals.

A best-on-ground performance in the 2015 AFL Grand Final netted Rioli the Norm Smith Medal, while he also earned All Australian honours for the second time and finished runner-up in the Peter Crimmins Medal in the Hawks’ third consecutive premiership season.
