HAWTHORN expects to have a fit and firing Bradley Hill at its disposal for Saturday’s match against GWS Giants.

Hill sustained a lower leg injury in Friday night’s win against Adelaide Crows, but played out the match, finishing with 17 disposals.

“He just got a knock on the calf, like a corkie,” GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan said on Tuesday.

“It caused a fair bit of discomfort on the night, but it’s recovered quickly.

“He trained this morning and looked pretty close to 100 per cent, so we’re happy with how he’s progressing and we expect him to be okay for the game on the weekend.”

The Round 5 match was Hill’s first for 2016, after sustaining a wrist injury in the lead up to Round 1.

In another positive for the Hawks, Ryan Schoenmakers (groin) also ran at training on Tuesday morning, and could be in contention to return against the Giants.
