Review

Taken with pick 56 in 1993, Rayden Tallis makes it into our Top 10 picks over 50 at #7.

In his debut season in 1994, the small defender managed 18 games and a Rising Star nomination.

Tallis struggled for selection between 1996 and 1999 under coach Ken Judge, only earning 32 senior games in four seasons.

It wasn’t until Peter Schwab became coach in 2000 that he was able to cement more consistent opportunities. He played every game that year and went on to another terrific season in 2001.

Tallis went on to play 163 games for the Hawks over 11 seasons and was recognised for his outstanding contribution in 2003 with life membership to the club.
