It's almost that time of year when each AFL list undergoes a mini-makeover, as retirements, delistings, trades, free agents and draft picks are finalised.

Hawthorn has already seen four players hang up the boots in 2017 (Luke Hodge, Josh Gibson, Jack Fitzpatrick and Luke Surman), which brings the remaining list down to 41 men (37 senior, four rookie).

To give you an idea on exactly how Hawthorn's list is placed as we start our 2018 preparations, we've dissected the playing list by age, experience and position.
