Review

Whitecross played eight senior games in 2017.

The 27-year old was a characteristically reliable option when selected, playing in a multitude of roles throughout his eight appearances.

When not playing seniors, Whitecross has been a valuable member of the Box Hill side, providing experience and leadership to the young group.

The Queenslander averaged 24 disposals, five marks and four tackles at VFL level this year.

A word from: Adem Yze

“It was good that he got the opportunity to play this year.

“We know his capabilities, where he can play forward, wing or down back if we need him down there as well. He was pretty consistent throughout the year, he played his role each time he came in.

“He was probably a little bit unlucky to go out of the team later in the season due to us wanting to play younger kids and give them some exposure going into the preseason.

“But, we know what he can bring to the team and, hopefully, he can help our younger blokes have a really good finals series at Box Hill and finish off the season strongly.”
