Hawthorn will again head back to Tasmania and Katherine for its annual AFL Community Camp.

The club has been holding its community camp in Tasmania since 2002, continuing its strong relationship with the state.

Players will reach across the north and south of the Apple Isle from March 8-11, visiting a number of schools and community groups in Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.

As part of the Camp, a major focus for the club will be continuing to implement its Looking After ME program, which Hawks players will help facilitate as part of their school visits. In 2017, more than one third of Tasmanian primary schools registered for Looking After ME with 71 schools rolling out the program across the state.

This trip will also coincide with the club’s JLT Community Series match against Carlton at UTAS Stadium on March 10 at 7.05pm.

A small group of players will also travel to Katherine from February 15-18, continuing the important work with Aboriginal communities the club has maintained over several years.

More details about specific locations and activities will be released shortly.
