Here at Hawthorn, we understand that AFL is a team game. Each player, coach and official is but a cog in the wheel of a well-oiled machine, chugging towards success.

But over the next 11 days, we’re forgetting about the team achievements and throwing the spotlight on individuals.

Here’s the question; which Hawk has the most impressive trophy case of all time?

Each accolade has been given a weighting (see bottom of page), and the numbers have been crunched to see who comes out on top.

Follow along each day on hawthornfc.com.au, as we slowly reveal Hawthorn’s Ultimate Trophy Cabinet.

Catch up: The Ultimate Trophy Cabinet - No.6

5th

Regarded as one of the all-time great full forwards, Hudson boasts quite the list of career achievements despite only playing 129 games for the Hawks.

The only Hawk to have claimed four Coleman medals, Hudson kicked more than 100 goals in a season on five occasions, including a career-best 150 in 1971 as he helped the Hawks to that year’s premiership.

Hudson’s top five berth in this competition is also aided by the two club best and fairest awards he won, his membership in the Team of the Century and his subsequent induction as a Legend of the AFL Hall of Fame, joining Leigh Matthews as the only other Hawk to hold that status.
