Dallas Willsmore

“Dal continued to play in the back half. He’s still learning his craft down there, but he was quite effective with his offensive ball. Without taking stats, his disposal count would have been around the high teens, so it wasn’t a bad showing for him.” CN

Harrison Jones

“Harry played his second game for us and increased his game time across three quarters, after playing a half last week. He played a bulk forward and then on ball as well. He’s got great intensity around the contest and makes something out of nothing. He will have to learn a bit more of the forward craft because he might end up spending a bit of time there, but it was really good for him to get through unscathed.” CN

Conor Nash

“Conor played forward again. He’s a big presence and uses his athleticism to his advantage; he quite often got over the back of the opposition and looked quite dangerous. We probably didn’t use him as much as we should of, but he halved a lot of contests and created a couple of goals.

Teia Miles

“Miles played forward and worked really hard with his ability to help out our defence. He applied some forward pressure, got a chase down tackle that resulted in a goal, and he kicked a goal himself.” CN

James Worpel

“Worpel played on ball and forward. He kicked 2.2, so he continues to hit the scoreboard when he goes forward. When he gets his opportunity inside he provides a real contest for us.”

Brendan Whitecross

“Whitey played quite a similar position to Worpel. Inside mid for the first half, and he had around 15 touches and six inside 50s at half time. He played forward for the rest of the game and had limited opportunity, so probably had more of an impact in the first half.” CN

James Cousins

“Cousins was quite consistent throughout the game. He worked really hard, provided quite a few clearances for us and did a lot of our grunt work inside.”

Jonothan O’Rourke

“It was O’Rourke’s first game back. He was restricted in his game time, but was pretty lively and accumulated a lot of contested footy. It was really good for him to get through unscathed.” CN

Kieran Lovell

“We had a fair few inside mids, so it did restrict a few of those guys that would usually play that role. Lovell played forward and had a slowish start, but played really well in the back end of the game. He used his best asset, his agility, to set a few goals up for us so it was a good result from him.” CN

Oliver Hanrahan

“Ollie played forward for the bulk of the game. We probably want to give him more exposure on ball because of his explosiveness. He tried hard; there were limited opportunities given the way we moved the ball, so our smaller forwards probably didn’t have us much impact. But having said that, he probably just played his role and will look to improve on that.” CN

Mitch Lewis

“Mitch took three goals and took a fair few contested marks. He played as a key forward, and would be pretty happy with the way he competed. He was pretty agile around the grounf for a big guy, and hit some centre bounces as a ruck.” CN

David Mirra, Kurt Heatherley and Kaiden Brand

“All these three guys were really similar. They were really solid in the back half going after their marks. They got the balance right between marking and spoiling this week, because last week it was probably the opposite. They were three of our highest contributors in regards to pressure acts, with 18, 15 and 14 respectively.” CN

Marc Pittonet

“Pitto played in the ruck, and actually got first hands to a lot of the ruck contests and worked really hard throughout the day. He spent a little bit of time forward but we just couldn’t get it to him. He played his role.” CN

Jackson Ross

“Ross is still working on his craft playing forward. He got burnt a couple of times with our kicking inside 50 when his leading patterns were quite good. He’ll keep progressing, he shows a bit, we just need to get it to him and give him a chance.” CN
