At least two changes will made to Hawthorn’s side that beat the Cats with Shaun Burgoyne ruled out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury, and James Sicily serving a one-week suspension.

James Frawley could make his return; the key defender was a late withdrawal from the Round 2 clash after experiencing inflation in his foot, but is set to be a test this week.

Youngsters Connor Glass and Harry Morrison appear the obvious considerations to come into the side after being named as emergencies for the opening two rounds. Utility Will Langford is also a chance to slot straight back into the senior side having successfully recovered from a broken hand.

Meanwhile, Kieran Lovell impressed in VFL side Box Hill’s final practice match with his work in the clinches, and tall forward Mitchell Lewis is also smoky to make his debut after back-to-back bags of three goals.
