Lucas-Rodd’s first season at the Hawks was history-making. The 27-year-old was appointed as Hawthorn’s inaugural AFLW captain before going on to notch up their 50th game and then finally, taking out the Hawks’ inaugural best and fairest award. Lucas-Rodd averaged 14 disposals and laid an impressive 84 tackles for the season, ranking fifth in the competition for that statistical category. Lucas-Rodd continued their consistency in 2023, playing all 10 games with averages of 19.3 disposals and 6.6 tackles. They then finished third in the club’s best and fairest, securing back-to-back podium finishes. Prior to joining Hawthorn, Lucas-Rodd played 43 games for Carlton and St Kilda.

The 2023 AFLW season was celebrated at Crown Palladium on Monday night, with a host of Hawks polling votes on the night.
Emily Bates, Jenna Richardson, Kaitlyn Ashmore, Tilly Lucas-Rodd, Mattea Breed and Tamara Smith are all a chance to win an award at Tuesday night's AFLPA AFLW Awards.
Hawthorn Captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd has been voted in by the Hawks faithful as the Round 2 MVP.
