Bates suffered an injury-interrupted 2025 season, after a SC joint injury sustained in Round 7 threatened to end her season. The Hawks Captain played seven games for the year, returning for her sides’ Semi Final clash, averaging 21.5 disposals, 5.6 tackles and 2.8 clearances for the season. She was recognised with the club’s Unbreakable Award for her team-first mentality and drive to succeed.
