Wales had a career-best year that was ended prematurely by appendicitis after Round 9. She established herself as one of the league’s best rucks, averaging 20 hitouts, 18.3 disposals, 11.8 contested possessions, 6.3 intercept possessions, 5.9 tackles and four clearances per game in 2025. Despite missing the last five games of the year, Wales finished third in the club’s Best and Fairest count for the first time, as well as taking home the World Class and Players’ Player Awards.
